Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, and/or 12 months experience; fitter test required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans.
• Knowledge of hand tools and equipment.
• Ability to calculate figures and geometry.

Responsibilities

• Receives instructions, prints, sketches, and work orders.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and plans the fitting operation.
• Directs and assists in handling and assembling material per detail drawings.
• Lays out work lines or fits up jigs; checks and marks connections.
• Cleans up material by grinding or chipping.
• Burns and tack welds for assembly; maneuvers material as required.
• Spot paints for identification marks.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; follow safety rules.
• Perform other routine duties per management direction.
• Must adhere to PPE requirements.
