Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings accurately.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Safety-minded and able to follow instructions precisely.
• Experience with overhead cranes or forklifts is a plus.
• CDL is not required but a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints and shop drawings.
• Fit and assemble fabricated steel parts to exact specifications.
• Safely rig, hoist, and move materials using overhead cranes.
• Operate forklifts and other shop equipment.
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality.

1st Shift: $25.00/hour minimum to start + OT + Weekly Pay + Other Benefits

Build What Lasts: Hancock Structural Steel is growing and looking for a skilled Structural Steel Fabricator to join our 1st shift team. If you take pride in your workmanship, enjoy working with your hands, and want to be part of building structures that stand for decades, we want to hear from you.

In this role, you will fabricate and assemble structural steel components such as beams, columns, and miscellaneous steel used in commercial and industrial construction projects. Your skill and precision will directly contribute to the strength and integrity of the buildings we help create.

What You’ll Do:

• Fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints and shop drawings
• Fit and assemble fabricated steel parts to exact specifications
• Safely rig, hoist, and move materials using overhead cranes
• Operate forklifts and other shop equipment
• Use precision measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum 1 year of MIG welding experience preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to follow instructions and retain technical information
• Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts preferred
• CDL is a plus, but not required
• Reliable, safety-minded, and team-oriented
