Job summary

Spur One Inc. is seeking a proactive draftsperson to join our multidisciplinary detailing team. You will work at an adjustable drafting table and on a computer, with occasional site travel.

Responsibilities include preparing rough sketches and detailed Tekla Structures drawings, coordinating with architects and engineers, and ensuring designs comply with building regulations. Proficiency in CADD and BIM is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or architecture is preferred
• A degree from a technical college is also acceptable
• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) and BIM

Responsibilities

• Preparing rough sketches and detailed work with Tekla Structures
• Communicating with architects and engineers and incorporating knowledge into drawings
• Experience in Miscellaneous Steel Fabrication
• Preparing, reviewing, and redrafting alongside the engineering team
• Ensuring final designs comply with building regulations
• Identifying and communicating potential design problems to the team
• Occasional job-site visits for dimensions or verification
