This opportunity with Black & Veatch offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Technology, Commercial & Industrial Market Sector, supporting Distributed Network projects such as Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Clean Transportation, and Networks & Communications, while building critical structural infrastructure for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. Structural Engineering Technicians contribute to the design, analysis, and detailing of structural components and systems that support these advanced industrial and commercial facilities.
The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Structural Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high-quality engineering deliverables for these complex structural infrastructure projects. Under close supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying structural models, drawings, and details using advanced techniques in industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk Revit, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bentley MicroStation. The technician provides technical guidance and may offer direction to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.
