This opportunity with Black & Veatch offers the chance to collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams within the Power Providers Market Sector, supporting Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects and building critical infrastructure for today’s and tomorrow’s challenges. Structural Engineering Technicians contribute to the design, analysis, and detailing of structural components and systems that support these advanced industrial and commercial facilities. The Virtual Design & Data Solutions (VDDS) Staff Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high-quality engineering deliverables for these complex infrastructure projects. Under general supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying structural foundation and steel models, drawings, and details using advanced techniques in industry standard design tools, such as Bentley Open Buildings, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Bluebeam. Provide technical guidance and may offer directions to other engineering professionals and technicians to ensure quality and consistency across project outputs.
