Insight Global is seeking a Staff Engineer for a top structural engineering consulting client. This role offers exposure to luxury residential homes, multifamily developments, commercial buildings, seismic retrofits, and historic preservation work.

You will work closely with experienced engineers, architects, contractors, and clients while receiving hands-on mentorship. The position emphasizes collaboration, strong fundamentals, and leadership potential as you learn project execution and refine

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural/Structural Engineering.
  • EIT certification.
  • Strong structural fundamentals and ability to conceptualize structural systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and 3D visualization skills.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural engineering design and analysis under supervision
  • Design basic structural projects and components
  • Assist in analyzing new and existing structures using various materials
  • Support project teams in developing solutions for client challenges within project budgets and schedules
  • Assist in preparing reports, schedules, estimates, and RFI responses
  • Attend meetings with clients, architects, contractors, agencies, and project stakeholders
  • Learn project execution and technical engineering skills through mentorship and close review

Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Staff Engineer for a top structural engineering consulting client. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career structural engineer who wants exposure to a wide variety of projects including luxury residential homes, multifamily developments, commercial buildings, seismic retrofits, and historic preservation work. The ideal candidate will have a strong structural engineering foundation, an eagerness to learn, and a passion for understanding how buildings are actually constructed. This individual will work closely with experienced engineers, architects, contractors, and clients while receiving hands‑on mentorship and gaining exposure to real-world project execution. Day-to-Day:
  • Perform structural engineering design and analysis under supervision
