Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers in Los Angeles seeks a Structural Project Manager to lead design and analysis for civic, healthcare, and laboratory structures. You will perform seismic design, develop construction documents, and guide projects from planning through construction, while mentoring junior engineers.

The role combines technical leadership with collaboration across disciplines and opportunities to manage budgets and client relations in a high-seismic environment.

Qualifications

• Seven years of full-time experience as an engineer in a structural consulting organization.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Strong knowledge of ACI 318, AISC 360, TMS 402/602, ASCE 7, ASCE 41, CBC, and CEBC standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and seismic design for projects.
• Develop construction documents and permit sets.
• Lead and mentor junior engineers and supervise project engineers.
• Coordinate with architects, other disciplines, and BIM to ensure integrated delivery.
• Support construction administration, including submittal reviews and RFIs.
