Job summary
KPFF Consulting Engineers seeks a Structural Engineer to perform structural analysis, seismic design, and develop construction documents for a variety of buildings in the Los Angeles area. Responsibilities include collaboration with BIM, project managers, architects, and other engineers, plus overseeing junior engineers and quality control of drawings.
The role emphasizes design in high seismic zones, compliance with ACI 318, AISC 360, CBC/ASCE 7, and related standards, with hybrid scheduling
Qualifications
- One year of full-time work experience in structural consulting.
- BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA in undergrad coursework.
- EIT certification required.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and seismic design for buildings.
- Develop construction documents and calculation packages.
- Coordinate with BIM, project managers, architects, and disciplines.
- Provide guidance to junior engineers and oversee design quality.
- Support construction administration and permitting processes.
