Job summary

Northern Impact LLC. is seeking a Structural Project Manager to lead building projects, mentor engineers, and coordinate with stakeholders across education, healthcare, residential, and commercial sectors in California.

The role combines structural design, project management, and client coordination. It is full-time, primarily on-site in West Sacramento or Arroyo Grande, with flexible scheduling and travel as needed; potential hybrid options may be discussed after onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
• Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 5–10 years of structural engineering experience in building design with project leadership.
• SE licensure preferred or actively pursued.
• DSA or HCAI project experience preferred.
• Experience with wood, steel, concrete, and masonry structures.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, RISA, and Excel for design and analysis.
• Strong communication and coordination with clients and project teams.
• Ability to work on-site and travel to job sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis, design, and construction documentation for several projects.
• Direct and review the work of design engineers, providing technical guidance and mentoring.
• Manage DSA and HCAI submissions, coordinate review comments, and advance projects toward approval.
• Maintain clear communication with architects, contractors, school districts, and project stakeholders.
• Work with principals on proposals, fees, schedules, and staffing needs.
• Oversee construction administration, including shop drawings, RFI responses, and site observations.
• Review project deliverables for quality, structural safety, and design accuracy.
