A leading engineering firm is seeking a Project Manager to oversee structural design projects. The role involves managing the design process, coordinating with clients and teams, and supervising junior engineers. Candidates should have a strong background in structural engineering, excellent communication skills, and at least 10 years of relevant experience. This position is classified as salaried, exempt. The hiring salary range for this role is anticipated to be $105,000 - $120,000 dependent upon experience and qualifications.
The role’s primary responsibility is to manage the structural design process from project inception through construction. The Project Manager completes the structural analysis, prepares plans and specifications, and reviews contractor submittals, shop drawings, and RFIs. Independent problem-solving, decision-making, and the implementation of standard engineering procedures are used to direct the flow of engineering work as well as oversee the production work of junior engineers and BIM technicians. The role coordinates structural engineering design with the client, project architects, municipal agencies, and other design team members. The Project Manager forecasts workload and schedules for the project team and manages communication and documentation for the project. Technical responsibilities will include the design of building additions, large & small retail buildings, low rise multi-story offices buildings, as well as large manufacturing, datacenter, distribution and industrial facilities utilizing software packages such as ETABS, SAP, and RAM.

For this particular position, we expect to hire near the middle of the range. To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates with at least 10 years of experience in the industry, and must have a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, a Master's degree is a plus.
We understand that there may be rare and exceptional circumstances where an external candidate has experience, credentials, or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position. In these cases, we may consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range.
