Award-Winning Studio & Winner of Design Firm of the Year is actively seeking a Structural Project Manager to join their offices in Anaheim, Rancho Cucamonga, Los Angeles, Folsom, or San Diego. With over 19 offices across the U.S., the firm specializes in architecture and engineering for sectors including K-12, college/university, healthcare, sports, and corporate. The Structural Division

The Structural Division offers comprehensive structural engineering planning and design, including assessments and forensic investigations. Their engineers have extensive experience across education, commercial, healthcare, sports & entertainment, hospitality, retail, and federal/government projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

The Project Manager will supervise design and construction of various projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards. This role offers excellent opportunities for professional growth. Responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and supervising project design and construction.
  2. Ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  3. Holding regular meetings with the engineering team, collaborating with other disciplines, and liaising with contractors.
  4. Managing project schedules, budgets, and resources.
  5. Resolving technical challenges during design and construction.
  6. Preparing structural specifications, selecting procedures, and performing calculations.
  7. Developing and coaching project staff.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a Structural emphasis; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • P.E. license required; S.E. license for Senior Project Manager.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive structural engineering experience.
  • At least three years leading multi-discipline project teams preferred.
  • For California positions, experience with the California Division of the State Architects (DSA) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of the California Building Code and relevant standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI, MSJC, NDS).
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software (ETABS, SAFE, RISA, RAM, ENERCALC) and office tools like Excel and Bluebeam.
  • Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The firm’s projects include K-12, higher education, government buildings, sports facilities, fire stations, and modifications to existing structures. Candidates with experience in educational projects, familiarity with the DSA process, or a strong background in general building design in California are encouraged to apply.
