IMEG, one of the largest design consulting firms in the U.S., is seeking a Structural Project Engineer. This position can be remote or based in our Columbus, OH office. The role involves managing design and inspection projects, working directly with clients, and performing duties at heights and in confined spaces, especially within material storage silos.

Principal Responsibilities

• Read and understand construction documents for data collection during inspections.
• Inspect various structures/silos (concrete and steel) and identify deficiencies.
• Collect measurements, photos, and notes during inspections.
• Perform inspections from lifts or rigging, including confined space entry.
• Collaborate with facility personnel and rigging sub-consultants.
• Build positive client relationships and document observations in reports.
• Write detailed technical reports on inspections and observations.
• Analyze observed deficiencies and work with designers on repair drawings.
• Possess design engineering experience in reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, or wood.
• Coordinate with the design team to develop structural drawings.
• Travel out-of-state 1-2 weeks per month as needed.

• Proficient in RISA, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering.
• Master’s in Structural Engineering preferred.
• PE license required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in bulk material handling design consulting.
• Knowledge of ACI, AISC, IBC codes.
• Certifications: MSHA, OSHA 10, Confined Space Entry.

Salary ranges from $89,000 to $134,000, with additional benefits including bonuses, stock options, health insurance, and more. IMEG is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment.
