Job summary

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) seeks a Project Engineer – Structural to join our Wall Township, NJ team. You will work on diverse building projects from design through construction, preparing structural calculations and construction documents, and coordinating designs across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has a B.S. in Civil/Structural Engineering, 5 years in consultancy, a NJ-PE license, and experience with AutoCAD or Revit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree is a plus).
• 5 years of structural engineering experience in a consulting environment.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of New Jersey required.
• Working knowledge of building codes and structural analysis/design software.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects for commercial, institutional, industrial, and residential buildings.
• Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems including steel, concrete, masonry, and wood.
• Prepare structural calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and related documentation.
• Coordinate structural designs with architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and collaborate with senior engineers and project managers.
• Support construction administration activities, including shop drawing review, RFIs, and field observations.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Contribute to maintaining high-quality project delivery and client satisfaction.
• Engage in mentorship and professional development opportunities, progressively taking on greater project responsibility.
