Job summary

Larson Engineering, Inc. seeks a licensed Professional Engineer to serve as a structural Project Engineer, leading front-end and detailed design for processing facilities across heavy industrial sectors. You will guide multi-discipline teams, build client relationships, and contribute to business growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program with emphasis in structural design.
• MS in structural engineering preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in structural design using steel, concrete and masonry.
• PE licensure preferred or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural engineering tasks for industrial projects (pulp & paper, chemical, power, manufacturing).
• Manage project scopes, schedules and budgets while coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop conceptual designs, structural layouts and models.
• Perform engineering calculations.
• Develop capital cost estimates, project schedules and material specifications.
• Supervise and mentor junior engineers, designers, drafters and technicians.
• Serve as primary client contact, maintaining strong relationships and identifying future opportunities.
• Perform site visits, field verifications and construction support.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and equipment suppliers to ensure constructability.
• Prepare technical reports, project summaries and recommendations.
• Participate in proposals, client meetings and BD activities.
• Travel to client sites as needed (typically <25%).
