Job summary

Bala Structures is seeking a motivated structural engineer with 4-8 years of experience to work onsite out of our Boston office. The role involves designing and serving as or collaborating on the structural E.O.R.

for new construction, renovations and additions, and building client relationships. You will support Bala’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects and adapt to commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering or Civil with emphasis.
• Registered EIT with a focus on Structural Engineering; PE preferred.
• 4 years minimum experience in structural design of buildings.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Capable of working individually and in a team environment.
• Thrives in collaborative work situations.
• Affinity for marketing and business development.

Responsibilities

• Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs of new construction, renovations and additions.
• Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
• Support Bala’s MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Adapt to the varieties of business sectors such as commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
• Pursue paths within the structural engineering realm aligned with Bala’s vision.
