Job summary

ClarkDietrich is seeking a Project Engineer for our Bristol, CT Engineering Services office. The role begins with a 2-month intensive training program before relocation to a home-base office.

You will provide technical support, prepare shop drawings, and collaborate with the GM, Engineering Manager, Project Managers, and Technicians throughout the design process. Ideal candidates excel in teamwork, communicate clearly, and can produce accurate drawings and calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Structural preferred).
• PE license or ability to take the EIT exam.
• Military equivalent considered in lieu of education/experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software (AUTOCAD, Revit) and BIM experience is a plus.
• Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain relationships with customers via courteous calls and prompt service.
• Increase specifications through shop drawings and by providing technical information.
• Produce CAD/BIM shop drawings for cold-formed steel structures.
• Develop structural calculations for internal review and client submission.
• Collaborate with engineers to complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ensure drawings and calculations are reviewed and approved by management.
• Support project managers to resolve challenges and deadlines.
