Job summary

ClarkDietrich, a leading manufacturer of cold-formed steel framing and finishing products in North America, invites a Project Engineer to join a two-month intensive training program at an engineering office before relocation to a home base office.

You will develop shop drawings and calculation packages for steel structures and collaborate with the General Manager, Engineering Manager, Project Managers and Technicians throughout the design process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil/Structural preferred).
• Must possess Professional Engineering certification or have the ability to take the exam to become an Engineer-in-Training (EIT).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and perform structural calculations.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD and Revit; BIM experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce a CAD/BIM production detail drawing package of cold-formed steel structures including curtain wall and load bearing plan views, section views 3D, isometric and other structural details.
• Produce the design of cold-formed steel structures including curtain and load bearing wall, lateral bracing and/or stability analysis and truss designs.
• Provide accurate calculations and presentable documentation for internal review and client submission.
• Collaborate with team to complete engineering tasks in a timely manner and ensure drawings are approved by Project/Engineering Managers.
• Support General Manager and Project Managers to resolve project challenges and deadlines.
