Job summary

Lvi-Associates in Colorado Springs is seeking a Structural Engineer with 5+ years of experience to join our growing multidisciplinary engineering team. You will own design assignments across a diverse portfolio including commercial buildings, bridges, retaining walls, foundations, and water infrastructure, collaborating with senior engineers and project managers to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure within one year.
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience designing a variety of structures including buildings, infrastructure, and foundation systems.
  • Working knowledge of structural analysis and finite element modeling software.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of structural behavior, engineering mechanics, and load path analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Develop practical and innovative solutions to complex structural engineering challenges.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Communicate technical findings, project updates, and recommendations to internal teams and clients.
  • Assist with permitting packages, regulatory documentation, and project submittals.
  • Support project planning, scope development, budgeting, and proposal preparation efforts.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control reviews of calculations, drawings, and other technical deliverables.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of engineering processes, standards, and workflows.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers while supporting team growth and development.

A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Engineer with approximately 5+ years of experience to join its Colorado Springs office. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including commercial buildings, bridges, retaining walls, culverts, foundations, water infrastructure, and other civil structures.
