Job summary

The Steel Erection Company in Huntington Beach is seeking an intermediate structural ironworker/welder with at least two years of field welding experience. You will read blueprints, weld to LADBS and AWS D1.1/D1.8, and perform full-penetration welds on beams, columns, and frames on-site.

Proficiency with a Suitcase Feeder gas drive NR-232 is required, along with a strong safety mindset, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to work night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficient with Suitcase Feeder NR-232 for field welding.
• Welding to LADBS and AWS D1.1/D1.8 standards.
• Ability to perform full-penetration welds on structural beams/columns.
• Able to read blueprints, welding symbols, and erection drawings.
• Experience with on-site fabrication and installation of structural steel.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, welding symbols, and field erection drawings.
• Fabricate and install structural steel on-site.
• Ensure welds meet visual, code-specific, and inspection-ready standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Document weld activity for inspection and project tracking.
