Job summary

RESPEC in Sioux Falls, SD, invites applications for a Student Engineer (Structural) Intern in its Summer Internship 2027 program. This hands-on design role is within RESPEC’s Facilities (Structural) Market Sector and is a temporary part-time position supporting full-time staff.

Interns will gain real-world engineering experience, assist with design, perform calculations and simulations, and learn client-facing processes.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in civil engineering
• Solid time management skills and ability to produce high-quality work
• Coursework in steel, wood, concrete, and precast/prestressed concrete design
• Strong problem-solving and math skills
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Responsibilities

• Assist with design work
