GBA is seeking a Structural Inspector (Diver) for our Transportation Group in Round Rock, Texas. The role combines hands-on underwater inspections with structural engineering assessment, supporting bridge and transportation projects across Texas.

Required ADCI Certified Commercial Diver certification and strong communication skills. Willingness to travel, work independently, and maintain high safety and quality standards is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform underwater structural inspections as a certified commercial diver.
• Conduct inspections of bridges and other transportation structures throughout Texas.
• Assist with inspection and evaluation projects, including data collection and documentation.
• Develop clear inspection reports and project deliverables.
• Apply structural engineering principles to inspection, assessment, and rehabilitation projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and inspectors to evaluate conditions and recommend solutions.
• Travel periodically throughout Texas to support inspection projects and client needs.
• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and industry standards during all activities.

We're looking for a Structural Inspector (Diver) to join our Transportation Group in Round Rock, Texas. You'll support bridge and structural inspection projects throughout Texas, helping ensure the safety and longevity of critical infrastructure.

What You'll Do

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of NHI Underwater Bridge Inspection Course (130091).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
• Project management experience.
• Experience with load ratings and bridge preservation projects.
• Structural or transportation design experience.
• Completion of NHI Inspection of Ancillary Highway Structures (130087).
• Completion of NHI Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members (NSTM) (130078).
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Round Rock/Austin area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform commercial diving activities in varying environmental conditions.
• Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in changing weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, and operate inspection and diving equipment.
• Ability to travel and perform field inspections throughout Texas.
