Job summary

Danos is seeking a Structural Fitter for the Houma, LA, PES Operations Facility. The role requires layout, fitting, welding preparation, and precise measurement against blueprints and P&IDs.

A hands-on tester will verify skills in torch-cutting, bevels, and plasma cutting, with emphasis on safety and teamwork. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and effective communication while supporting ISO standards and job specifications in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• 3 or more years prior fabrication experience.
• Able to interpret ISO’s and P&ID’s.
• Able to cut with a torch.
• Square-cut and bevel-cut metal using arc cutting equipment.
• Pierce and cut slots in metal using plasma arc cutting equipment.
• Create field sketches.
• Experience using safe work habits.
• Candidates will be required to pass a Hands-on Fitter Test.

Responsibilities

• Layout, position, aligns and secures parts for welding and bolt-up.
• Measure, mark, cut, bore, fit and/or install various structural components in accordance with blueprints and job specifications using hand and power tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders/benders, etc.
• Participate in JSA’s and all other Safety, Health and Environmental Processes.
• Conduct behavioral based safety observations.
