Job Title: Structural Steel Fitter

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Structural Steel Fitter.This role is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong background in fitting and welding structural steel using FCAW and GMAW methods. The position involves working both independently on small projects and collaboratively within a larger team. Candidates must pass a comprehensive weld test prior to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and work from fabrication and engineered drawings.

• Layout and fit structural steel members to specifications.

• Operate standard metalworking tools and equipment such as shears, saws, ironworkers, grinders, chipping hammers, and welding equipment.

• Perform basic shop math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs without assistance.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work culture.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience fitting structural steel in a fabrication or manufacturing setting.

• Detail-oriented self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.

• Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and gantry cranes.

• Proficient in FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding).

• Willingness to work 40+ hours per week, including occasional Saturdays as needed.
