Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to integrate with field teams and ensure work aligns with drawings and specs. The role spends most time in the field, with a focus on constructability and resolving RFIs and clashes.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management and 5+ years of experience in high-tech facilities, with knowledge of U.S. codes. Revit Structural experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of structural building design experience for high-tech infrastructure, industrial, or manufacturing facilities.
• Knowledge of U.S. building codes and structural design standards.
• Ability to interpret drawings, resolve RFIs and clashes, and support field teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with field engineering and construction teams to ensure work aligns with structural drawings and specifications.
• Conduct daily site walks, collect measurements, document observations.
• Resolve RFIs and clashes and communicate issues to design engineers and construction managers.
• Oversee corrective actions related to non-conformance items.
• Provide constructability guidance to construction teams.
• Review models, drawings, and existing field conditions.
• Identify opportunities to improve structural details and constructability.
• Spend ~80% of time in the field and 20% in the office.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of structural building design experience supporting high-tech infrastructure, industrial, or manufacturing facilitiesBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experienceFamiliarity with U.S. building codes and structural design standardsKnowledge of concrete and steel construction practicesAbility to interpret structural drawings and specifications, resolve RFIs and clashes, and support construction teams in the fieldRevit Structural experienceExperience supporting semiconductor, data center, solar, battery, or similar advanced manufacturing facilitiesExperience providing constructability feedback and managing non-conformance corrective actions
