Job summary

Milwaukee Tool seeks an experienced Simulation & Analysis Engineer II – Structural Analysis to analyze static and dynamic load cases for power tool components. You will provide fast, reliable recommendations to improve robustness and optimize weight, size and cost, with a strong emphasis on linear and nonlinear FEA.

The role requires 5+ years of mechanical design and FEA experience, with proficiency in Ansys and LS-Dyna, and CAD skills in NX or SolidWorks. On-site work in Wisconsin is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering; MS preferred.
• 5+ years of mechanical design and FEA experience.
• Proficient in linear and nonlinear FEA, dynamic and fatigue analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform FEA on components and assemblies for load cases.
• Conduct linear and nonlinear analyses and dynamic tests.
• Correlate FEA with physical durability testing (drop, vibration).
• Recommend design changes to optimize robustness, weight and cost.
• Mentor teammates and share FEA knowledge.
