Job summary

SC Steel is seeking a motivated Structural Fabricator for the night shift in Upstate South Carolina. You will fabricate and assemble material per detailed drawings, maintain safety and quality, and support efficient production on a 4:30PM–3:00AM schedule with shift premium eligibility.

The role requires reading fabrication drawings, preparing materials for welding, and using standard tools to ensure components meet exact specifications. High school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret structural fabrication drawings.
• Comfort with estimating and planning layout using geometry and dimensions.

Responsibilities

• Operate cutting torch, grinder, drills and other hand tools.
• Layout structural steel according to drawings and dimensions.
• Prepare materials for fitting and welding, bevel edges for full penetration welds.
• Cut, drill, grind, bevel, and modify materials per fabrication drawings.
• Order tasks to ensure weld accessibility and proper fit.
