Job summary

EVstudio seeks a senior structural engineer to lead modular and prefabricated building design in the Rocky Mountain region. The role focuses on developing efficient, repeatable structural solutions and coordinating with architects, manufacturers and teams to bridge design, fabrication and installation.

Requirements: Bachelor’s in Civil or Structural Engineering; 7+ years of experience; steel and wood frame design; Revit proficiency; a PE or SE license (or PE/SE exam).

  • 7+ years of relevant structural engineering experience.
  • Experience with steel and wood frame design is required; modular/prefabrication experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
  • PE or SE license required, or have passed PE/SE exam.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural design and analysis with emphasis on modular, prefabricated, and volumetric construction systems.
  • Design steel-framed, wood, and hybrid structural systems for off-site fabrication and on-site assembly.
  • Develop construction documents, calculations, and specifications to support modular workflows.
  • Collaborate with architects, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure integration between design, fabrication, and installation.
  • Utilize Revit to manage structural models with repeatable components and system efficiency.
  • Coordinate with fabrication partners and contractors on transportation, lifting, and assembly constraints.
  • Participate in project meetings and support client communication.
  • Assist with site observations and construction administration as needed.

What You’ll Do:

This role is focused on structural design for modular and prefabricated building systems, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across the Rocky Mountain region and beyond. Modular delivery requires a high level of adaptability, coordination, and design flexibility, and this role will be central to developing efficient, repeatable, and innovative structural solutions.

  • Perform structural design and analysis with an emphasis on modular, prefabricated, and volumetric construction systems
  • Design steel-framed, wood, and hybrid structural systems tailored for off-site fabrication and on-site assembly
  • Develop construction documents, calculations, and specifications that support modular production workflows
  • Collaborate closely with architects, manufacturers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration between design, fabrication, and installation
  • Utilize Revit to develop and manage structural models, with attention to repeatable components and system efficiency
  • Coordinate with fabrication partners and contractors to address transportation, lifting, and assembly constraints

Requirements:

  • Strong coordination and problem‑solving skills, particularly in fast‑paced or non-traditional project delivery environments
What We Offer:

We are targeting a base salary of $90,000 to $125,000, but it is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.
