Job summary

HOK is seeking a structural engineering intern to perform basic design tasks under close supervision. You will develop and modify drawings, organize project documents, and collaborate with the project team to meet aggressive schedules while promoting sustainable practices.

The role requires enrollment in a civic/structural engineering degree program, with a preference for those who have completed internships at engineering or architectural design firms.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a civic/structural engineering or related degree program.
• Previous internship with an engineering or architectural design firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs elementary structural engineering assignments and works from designs of others.
• Develops, modifies and/or reviews drawings.
• Organizes and maintains documents for specific projects.
• Works closely with project team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
