Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Structural Engineering Professional Associate to join the NW Region design team. You will perform structural analysis and design, develop concepts, and coordinate with disciplines to deliver world-class designs for industry-leading clients. Strong US code knowledge and mentoring skills are essential for success.

Your home location must be in the Northwest region of the US (AK, ID, MT, OR, WA or WY) or Canada, with a pathway to contribute to projects across North America and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer License (PE or PEng) is required.
• At least 4 years of Structural Engineering experience.
• Experience with US building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).
• Experience with structural analysis software including Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design under general supervision.
• Develop design concepts and communicate requirements on paper and in the model.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to designers/drafters and junior engineers.
• Work with lead engineers and other disciplines to ensure project success.
