Job summary

KPFF Consulting Engineers seeks a Summer 2027 internship in our San Diego office. You will work with local engineers on a variety of projects, gaining hands-on training and mentorship in a collaborative environment.

The program emphasizes practical experience in civil/structural engineering, with an emphasis on real-world design, analysis, and documentation. Compensation ranges hourly and supports student development.

Qualifications

• Current student who has completed at least 3 years of BS Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA in Bachelor's coursework.
• Understanding of structural engineering fundamentals (free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers in the KPFF San Diego office on ongoing projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations and diagrams under supervision.
• Support design tasks and document results for project teams.
