Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern for Summer 2027. You will support project tasks across design, documents, and construction-phase activities, mentored by professional engineers and CAD specialists.

You will gain hands-on experience with water/wastewater facilities, vaults, channels, and related infrastructure while developing fundamentals of structural engineering within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Entering at least a Junior year of university.
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Assist structural engineers with design, contract document production, and construction-phase support.
• Collaborate with CAD designers to translate structural requirements into construction drawings.
• Learn foundations of structural engineering and how design integrates with other disciplines.
