Job summary

OneFourTwo Design Group in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to contribute to the design, engineering, and construction process with a Summer 2027 start.

You will collaborate with drafting staff, clients, and project teams to prepare preliminary designs, review codes, and develop construction drawings using Revit. This internship offers a pathway to full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Enrolled in Civil Engineering degree program (Graduate or Undergraduate).
• Previous construction or engineering internship/co-op experience is a plus.
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and other outside project team members.
• Prepare preliminary designs for clients.
• Review building codes to assure correct implementation of preparation and design.
• Attend client meetings and coordinate with construction project managers, architects, civil, and mechanical engineers.
• Produce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents for permit submittal as well as construction.
• Produce construction ready design drawings using Revit and coordinate with all disciplines to assure complete and accurate alignment.
