Job summary

Wallace Design Collective is seeking a Structural Summer Intern to work with our engineering team on real commercial, educational, healthcare, and residential projects across the country.

You will get hands-on experience using industry-standard analysis and modeling software, assisting in structural design calculations, and learning the practical mechanics of how buildings go from concepts on paper to standing structures.

Qualifications

• Education in Civil or Architectural Engineering with a structural focus.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and basic design software.
• Strong problem-solving, proactive questions, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Structural Modeling & Analysis: assist in generating model geometry and analyses using RAM, RISA-3D, or ETABS.
• BIM & Documentation: draft and model structural components in Revit.
• Engineering Calculations: perform design calculations under licensed PE/SE guidance.
• Code & Load Application: interpret building codes to determine loads.
• Collaboration & Learning: participate in intern sessions and team meetings.
