Job summary

HDR is seeking an engineering student to join our Transportation Business Group in Rocky Hill, CT. This full-time temporary role offers real-world project exposure and mentorship from professional engineers.

Successful candidates are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil or Structural Engineering program, with CAD knowledge, coursework in steel or concrete design, a GPA of 3.0+, and a passion for detail, problem-solving and teamwork. Local candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering or structural engineering related program.
• CAD knowledge and skills.
• Either Steel or Concrete Design coursework completed.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA.
• Strong preference given to local candidates.

Responsibilities

• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects.
• Connect with recent college graduates and company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs.
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager.
• Perform other duties as needed.
