Job summary

HDR is seeking a Civil Intern/Co-Op in Rocky Hill, CT to join the civil engineering design team on projects serving clients across New England. You will prepare plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimates for designs spanning highways, local roadways, and multi-modal transportation.

Ideal candidates are engineering students enrolled in undergrad or graduate programs with attention to detail, good problem-solving and communication skills, and basic Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• The Civil Intern/Co-Op will work as a member of the civil engineering design team on projects serving clients in the New England area.
• The position includes preparation of plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimation for projects of various sizes and complexity.
• The Civil Department engages in highway & local roadway design, traffic engineering design, green infrastructure, stormwater management, drainage & grading, and multi-modal transportation designs for clients throughout New England including CTDOT, MassDOT, NHDOT, and RIDOT.
