KPFF St. Louis is offering a Structural Engineering Intern position for 2027 (Finance). The role provides exposure to diverse building types and hands-on experience on real projects under the mentorship of seasoned engineers.

You will gain experience in construction administration, attend site visits, and contribute to design efforts across education, healthcare, commercial, and industrial facilities, with emphasis on collaboration and growth.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree program in Civil or Architectural Engineering with an emphasis in structures.
• Completion of at least two design courses (e.g., concrete, steel, wood, or masonry) by the start of the internship.
• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above in coursework.
• Basic knowledge of structural engineering fundamentals (e.g., free body diagrams, P/V/M diagrams).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical and organizational abilities, with an ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world projects as part of a diverse team.
• Receive guidance from experienced engineers.
• Learn construction administration services, including attending site visits.
• Contribute to projects across educational, healthcare, commercial, industrial, parking, and other facilities.
