CDM Smith is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to join our Orlando team. You’ll work with a dynamic group on a diverse portfolio of public, federal, and industrial projects, and you’ll learn CDM Smith CAD standards while contributing to real-world engineering tasks.

The role involves performing CAD design tasks, data updates, Excel macro development, structural cataloging, field inspections, and review of shop drawings alongside experienced engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.

Responsibilities

• CADD Design Project; will be trained to learn CDM Smith CAD Standards.
• Web searches and product data updates.
• Excel spreadsheet development (macro routines, repetitious calcs).
• Structural library cataloging.
• Field inspection work.
• Shop Drawing reviews.
