Job summary

SSR (Smith Seckman Reid, Inc) is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to support our structural team on healthcare, education, commercial, and civic projects. You will gain exposure to structural design, analysis, and construction documentation while learning applicable codes and SSR standards.

This internship offers hands-on experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM tools, under the guidance of project leads, with opportunities to expand technical and professional skills in a collaborative

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural design and analysis for building projects.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and documentation.
• Work with Revit and AutoCAD and BIM tools.
• Learn building codes and design standards.
• Support project teams across disciplines as needed.
• Attend meetings and capture action items and due dates.
