Job summary

Valmont Industries in Valley, Nebraska is seeking a Design Drafter Co-op Intern to contribute to the drafting team and gain hands-on experience with 3D CAD and shop drawings.

You will collaborate with engineers, create sketches, and learn best practices in drafting. The internship offers a structured program, paid hours, and opportunities for full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a college/university pursuing a degree in Drafting & Design.
• Autodesk Inventor experience is preferred.
• Strong CAD skills and ability to convert drawings to 3D models.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Determine changes, corrections, and requirements to meet project needs.
• Create sketches for use by other designers/drafters.
• Interpret specifications and standards to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate with customers to resolve specification questions before drawings are prepared.
• Collaborate with team to develop shop drawings and provide project input.
