Job summary

KL&A is a Rocky Mountain-based engineering and construction firm offering interns a hands-on experience on active projects alongside construction professionals. You will gain insight into how engineering and construction come together to deliver economical, integrated solutions for clients and owners.

As an intern, you’ll work with experienced professionals, apply classroom learning to real-world challenges, and develop technical and communication skills while contributing to project teams.

• Registered EIT or actively pursuing EIT license.

• Passion for design, engineering, and problem solving.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and work in Revit to produce contract documents.

• Ability to work in the U.S. now and in the future without sponsorship.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Revit Structures or another 3D modeling software.
• Experience with analysis software such as RAM, RISA, or ETABS.

Hourly Wage: $24/hour

Housing: Interns are responsible for securing their own housing.

Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible.

Internship Duration: Summer 2027

Application Timeline: Applications will close 1/1/2027, but we will begin reviewing submissions in November 2026. Selections are expected to be made by the end of January 2027.
