Job summary

Cannon Corp in Irvine, CA is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern to assist with calculations and analyses on a range of projects in our energy, infrastructure, and development sectors. The position offers a minimum of 15 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 8 am–5 pm.

Under supervision, you will support a Project Manager or Project Engineer in field and office settings, contribute to design tasks, and gain real-world experience in structural engineering.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic engineering calculations and analyses support, in the office and in the field, on a variety of projects.
• Conduct analyses under supervision of Project Manager or Project Engineer.
• Assist with project documentation and reporting.
• Support scheduling and field observations with flexibility for part-time hours (minimum 15 hours/week).

STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING INTERN JOB SUMMARY

Under the direction of a Project Manager or Project Engineer, a Structural Engineer Intern provides basic engineering calculations and analyses support, in the office and in the field, on a variety of engineering projects. We offer a minimum of 15 hours per week (depending upon available work), Monday thru Friday, with a flexible schedule between 8 am – 5 pm.

Requirements

• Working on a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college.
• 3rd or 4th year engineering student who can work through the summer.
• Previous internship experience is required.
• Successful completion of EIT exam highly desirable.
