Job summary

Cannon Corp in Irvine, CA is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to support a range of design and analysis tasks. You will work with a project team on AutoCAD and Civil 3D designs, assist with cost estimating and plan preparation, and gather field data on various projects.

The role offers a minimum of 15 hours per week with a flexible schedule between 8 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday, in a collaborative environment that emphasizes growth and hands-on learning.

Qualifications

• Working on a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college.
• 3rd or 4th year engineering student who can work through the summer.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Proactively offers support to team members.
• Successful completion of EIT exam preferred.
• Previous internship experience in Civil Engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic engineering calculations and analyses support.
• Assist in AutoCAD and Civil 3D design tasks.
• Help with cost estimating and plan preparation.
• Organize documents and perform clerical tasks as needed.
• Conduct site visits to collect field data.
• Back-check work and participate in design calculations.
• Support project team with general administrative tasks.
