Job summary

FSB Architects + Engineers, now part of Colliers Engineering & Design, seeks a experienced Director of Structural Engineering in Oklahoma City. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role accountable for department performance, staff development, planning, project delivery, and client satisfaction within a multidisciplinary firm.

The role emphasizes people leadership, financial performance, and strategic operations across markets while shaping the future of the structural engineering practice

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/structural engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license; license in Oklahoma or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 10+ years progressive structural engineering experience; 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience in an AEC multidisciplinary environment; strong project leadership.
• Solid experience with department operations, workforce planning, and budgeting.
• Strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the structural engineering department.
• Lead managers and oversee staffing, recruiting, onboarding, and development.
• Oversee project delivery, QA/QC, schedules, and budgets for multiple projects.
• Drive department profitability, utilization, and backlog forecasting.
• Collaborate with architectural studios and other engineering disciplines.
• Promote continuous improvement and standardized processes across the firm.
