Job summary

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op for Spring 2027 at our Toledo, OH office. This on-site role requires daily presence in the office; remote or hybrid work is not available. You will support project teams under supervision and gain hands-on experience in structural design and drafting.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an ABET-accredited civil or architectural engineering program, rising juniors or seniors, with basic CAD skills (Revit, AutoCAD) and strong organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited engineering program (Civil or Architectural).
• Rising Junior or Senior year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Salary range: $20-$23 per hour depending on year in school.

Responsibilities

• Performs tasks under close supervision with detailed instruction.
• Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or projects as assigned.
• Occasional local travel may be required; valid driver's license required.

SSOE is seeking a Structural Engineering Co-op for Spring 2027. This position is an onsite role that requires you to work at our Toledo, OH Office each day. Remote or hybrid work for this role is not available.

Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Each person is expected to help out in whatever duties are required to deliver a quality product on schedule and within budget in a team environment.

• Performs assigned tasks under close supervision of Department Manager or designee. Receives specific and detailed instruction.
• Basic computer, Revit or AutoCAD skills a plus.
• Learns and uses department standards, methods, and procedures respective to field of study.
• Meets various deadlines on daily duties or special projects as assigned by DM or designee.
• Occasional local travel may required for client visits. Valid driver's license required. May be waived for international assignments.

• Students must be enrolled in a ABET accredited engineering school majoring in Civil or Architectural Engineering or technically related discipline.
• Rising Junior or Senior academic year preferred.
• Must be registered with the Office of Professional Experience Program or equivalent.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
