Job summary

STRUCTURAL TECHNOLOGIES seeks an early‑career structural engineer for the Salt Lake City office to support investigation, design, and repair activities across live facilities. You will participate in the investigate–design–build process, working with mentors to develop solutions from field assessments through construction support.

You will gain hands‑on exposure to failure mechanisms, repair strategies, and constructability considerations while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• For unlicensed candidates, completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam is required.
• Strong understanding of structural behavior, load paths, and concrete/steel fundamentals.
• Experience with SAP2000, RISA, or STAAD; AutoCAD or Revit; reading drawings.
• Clear communication, documentation, and collaboration; travel readiness.

Responsibilities

• Investigate existing conditions and document deterioration and site constraints.
• Develop repair and strengthening designs; prepare drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Support construction with field verification, submittals, and observations.
• Coordinate with Sales, Estimating, and Operations on scope and effort estimates.
• Deliver checked, well-documented work and obtain required approvals.
