Job summary

Markon is seeking a Structural Engineer to support a United States Secret Service contract, advancing security measures for facilities. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary AEC teams, third-party contractors, and government stakeholders to evaluate designs and execute security upgrades.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil/Architectural/Construction Management degree, 10+ years of construction program experience, and a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Top Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• Experience using blast effect modeling tools (VAPO, 3D Blast, Urban Blast Tool, or ELS).
• 10+ years of experience in program or project management activities within construction/engineering.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract docs.
• Experience working on large construction projects with contractors and design teams.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and develop solutions to complex problems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AEC teams, contractors, and government partners on infrastructure projects.
• Use drawings, specifications, photos, and docs to assess and improve site and building security.
• Review and provide comments on analysis, design, and construction deliverables.
• Coordinate with program managers on schedules, budgets, and planning documentation.
• Document and track meetings, activities, and program updates.
• Engage with stakeholders to support planning and execution of design/construction.
• Assist in developing Scopes of Work and future contract packages.
• Support coordination with contractors, design teams, and owner representatives on large projects.
