Job summary
Hargrove & Associates Inc. in Greenville, SC seeks an experienced Structural Engineer V to lead complex civil/structural design assignments under general supervision. This role demands extensive experience and the ability to guide design from concept through drawings while coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
The ideal candidate holds a B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, PE registration preferred, and 10+ years of industrial experience.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and application of the International Building Code and related standards (ASCE, AISC, ACI).
- PE registration is highly preferred.
- 10+ years of relevant industrial civil/structural engineering experience.
- Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD or MicroStation) and structural analysis tools.
- Ability to lead small to large teams and coordinate across disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Lead complete design of complex civil/structural engineering assignments.
- Develop conceptual layouts and cost studies for efficient solutions.
- Produce detailed design calculations and construction drawings.
- Review vendor drawings and other discipline inputs for conformance.
- Provide field data gathering, construction support, and cross‑disciplinary coordination.
