Job summary

Schaefer, Inc. is seeking a civil/structural engineer to design and detail efficient, code-compliant structures while serving as Project Manager or Project Engineer on multiple projects of varying size and complexity.

The role emphasizes developing strong client relationships, leveraging business development opportunities, and managing project costs through careful planning and prioritization. A PE/SE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural) from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience, demonstrating growth in project management experience and diverse projects
• BIM (Revit) experience
• Proven ability to manage successful project teams
• Strong client relationship experience and the ability to manage complex projects
• PE or SE license

Responsibilities

• Design and detail efficient structures that are code compliant, accurate and of high quality
• Act as the Project Manager or Project Engineer on multiple projects that vary in size and complexity
• Develop strong client relationships and engage in business development practices to leverage those partnerships for ongoing project work
• Manage project cost through effective planning and prioritization
