Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Structural Engineer, PE, to join our Ann Arbor team. You will lead structural design efforts, interface with clients, and ensure timely, quality project delivery.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, PE license, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency with RISA 3D; Revit learning is encouraged. Hybrid work is available, with opportunities to support PE licensure across states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Structural Engineer.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience designing with structural steel, reinforced concrete, masonry, aluminum, and cold‑formed steel.
• Proficiency with structural engineering software such as RISA 3D.
• Willingness to learn Revit, if not already proficient.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams of Structural Engineers and Designers on large‑scale projects.
• Interface directly with clients throughout design and construction phases.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in technical and professional development.
• Prepare, check, and review structural design calculations and system models.
• Write forensic and investigative engineering reports.
• Define structural systems and model designs using Revit, adhering to local, state, and federal codes, including UFC guidelines.
• Utilize advanced structural engineering software tools (RISA preferred).
• Participate in Construction Administration activities, including site visits and reviews, as needed.
