Job summary

Fisher Construction Group seeks a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) to lead design-build projects across WA and beyond. You will collaborate with architects, engineers, and field teams, traveling to project sites to solve real-world structural challenges and keep projects moving.

The role requires a PE license and 5–10 years of structural experience, with exposure to industrial facilities and knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, and BIM tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
  • PE license required.
  • 5–10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Experience with industrial facilities is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

  • Design structural systems for industrial, food processing, cold storage, manufacturing, and commercial facilities.
  • Prepare structural calculations, drawings, specifications, and engineering reports.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical engineers, project managers, and field superintendents throughout all phases of design and construction.
  • Visit active construction sites to evaluate existing conditions, investigate structural issues, and develop practical engineering solutions.
  • Review RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and field modifications.
  • Provide engineering support during construction to help resolve unforeseen field conditions quickly and efficiently.
  • Perform structural assessments of existing buildings for renovations, expansions, and equipment installations.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, industry standards, and project specifications.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, constructability, and efficiency.

We’re seeking a licensed Structural Engineer (PE) who enjoys working in a fast-paced design-build environment and wants to see their designs come to life in the field.   • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM coordination is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
Compensation & Benefits

Fisher Construction Group provides a highly-competitive wage and benefits package. Depending on experience, employment offers will range between $116,778 to $140,229 annually, with a potential annual performance bonus up to $12,000.00.

The Fisher benefits package includes insurance for Medical, Dental, Vision and Life/Long-Term Disability. We also provide a 401K plan with employer match as well as a Profit Sharing plan, paid holidays, paid time off and more!
